  • We started with one goal in mind, making safe and reliable water to help remote communities and industry.

    Our first focus was Australia because we know it well. The climate science transfers directly to other parts of the world, including the Middle East and Africa.

  • A desiccant is a material that can powerfully attract molecules of water straight from the air. This is different than dew nets because dew is already a very fine liquid droplet.

    Getting the molecules themselves let’s us continue to operate even in hotter and drier conditions that wouldn’t normally lead to a dew forming.

  • Refrigeration works great in high humidities, say over 75% RH. Below that you have to run the machine harder and harder to keep producing water, which means you end up with a massive electricity bill.

    Hydro Harvester chose desiccants and tuned them to work in low humidities (as low as 10% RH) because there is only a very small increase in energy required to produce each litre, where refrigeration could double or even triple. We wanted our product to be predictable, reliable.
